UNIX-Based Enterprise Software Solution Puts New Tools in Users' Hands

YARDLEY, PA, October 1, 2005 - It should come as no surprise that the question that keeps executives up at night wondering how they can make their businesses grow, is the same question the product management and development teams at Prophet 21, now Activant Solutions, pose as they design updates to solutions: "How can we maximize productivity?"

Offering a host of updates that will help customers get the most out of their solution, Acclaim 16's new features increase the functionality of an already robust solution.   • Lead and Review Time in Transfer Requirements Calculations: The use of lead and review times in transfer requirement calculations will facilitate shorter lead times at branches and locations
  • Automatically Delete Auxiliary Data: Saves time by providing detail on where auxiliary data is located when customers and vendors are deleted, allowing the user to automatically find and delete it
  • E-Mail and Fax Logs: Gives the users more control over contact information by allowing them to create, update, and search logs, and print all faxes and e-mails generated in Acclaim
  • Updated Daily Invoice Register: Provides a better audit trail by printing the inventory cost and non-stock inventory cost for each invoice, which helps with tracking and reconciling with the general ledger
  • Order Entry Updates: The system now checks that the order is fully paid or that a credit card is on the order before acceptance, which eliminates the need to make collection calls to customers who have a credit type of PAY
