Independent Medical Supply Distributor Uses Technology to Strengthen Position in Marketplace

YARDLEY, PA, June 15, 2005 - Prophet 21 proudly presented American Medical Supplies and Equipment (AMS) with the 2005 Prophet 21 IMCO Distributor Technology Partner of the Year award at the recent Independent Medical Co-Op (IMCO) conference in Orlando, Florida.

AMS was chosen for its leadership in the medical industry at large and IMCO specifically. In addition, AMS was recognized for its use of technology to strengthen its position in the marketplace while encouraging other independent distributors to do the same.

"Prophet 21 makes every effort to recognize its outstanding customers," said Chuck Boyle, Prophet 21 president and CEO. "And American Medical Supplies clearly demonstrates a willingness to embrace new technology to improve and enhance performance."

Victor Amat III, president of AMS, accepted the award along with his uncle, Luis Amat, a founder of the company (pictured l - r, respectively). "We understand what distributors like ourselves need to do to compete in today's marketplace," said Victor Amat. "We're proud to have received the award, and we look forward to continuing to adopt technology to improve customer service and increase sales - and to encourage other medical supply distributors to do the same."
